It is downward sliding of anal cushions abnor­ mally due to straining or other causes.
Anal cushions are aggregation of blood vessels.

Classification:

• Internal
• External
• Interno external

Primary – 3,7,11 o clock haemorrhoids.
Secondary – Rather than primary haemorrhoids position.

First grade – Bleeding but no any mass comes out
Second grade – prolapse mass but simultaneously goes back
Third grade – mass comes out have to push inside with finger
Fourth grade – Permanent prolapsed
